Letter to My Young Self

Letter to My Young Self

A blog series to increase awareness of women and men in STEM

We are inviting women and men who love STEM, especially those in and from Africa, to share their stories with the world, and with the students in our clubs. Why?

  • You can be what you can see. Girls (and boys) needs greater exposure to women in STEM.
  • You don’t know what you don’t know There’s a lack of awareness of broad applications of STEM and careers that a background in STEM can offer.
  • Break the myth Fear and gender stereotypes deter young girls (and many African children) from pursuing STEM.
